Yes, that confirms it. I thought it was 18 months, but wasn't sure. Thanks

No worries
Maybe I could have worded my response better.
I have been informed Foxtel now has FTTN services active, but it is yet to be officially launched to market which is to happen shortly
Ahhh... If you check the NBN site http://www.nbnco.com.au/ you should be able to get a date as to when NBN will be available in your area. Foxtel is only one of the NBN providers.
I have a telstra email account and can not send emails. From all the reading I've done online and phone calls to both Telstra & Foxtel I am at the conclusion that there is nothing that can be done to make it work. Having tried all the outgoing server settings suggested here, Foxtels suggestion to use a gmail account is unacceptable.
Have you seen this post: http://community.foxtel.com.au/t5/Foxtel-Broadband-and-Home-Phone/EMAIL-ACCESS-PROBLEMS-yes-I-know-quot-foxtel-don-t-support/m-p/191236#M2882 (page has to fully load before it scrolls down to the post)? Looks like the same issue got solved for this person.
When I was on the old email platform, it was mail.bigpond.com for incoming and outgoing mail servers.
I'm now on the new Telstra Mail platform and that's showing the internal mail server as imap.telstra.com and outgoing mail server as smtp.telstra.com
I'm not on Foxtel Broadband.
Hi Magao,
I am currently running the Foxtel Hub but before that was using a ASUS DSL-68u also. Are you able to give me any guidance on setting the 68 up as you have?
Regards,
Les
yes mail.bigpond.com was the original setting for outgoing.
I have tried smtp-mail.outlook.com, smtp.telstrabusiness.com, mail.pm.telstra.com
The only way I have found to get emails out is by connecting to my telstra phone hotspot, changing the authentication setting to NONE.
Any other outgoing servers I can try?
So apart from the ones you listed, you tried the ones from my settings: internal mail server as imap.telstra.com and outgoing mail server as smtp.telstra.com
also tried those and does not work. Foxtel have admitted to me that they do not support any out going mail. Surely there is a way around this? I cant be the only one struggling with this.
The person in the post I linked earlier seemed to get their issue sorted. If resetting (not restarting) the hub doesn't get it going for you, then try sending a PM via their Facebook page, or use this page to contact them: https://www.foxtel.com.au/about/enquiry.html?icid=your-feedback_landing_accordion_general-feedback - they're onshore and will get back to you. Hopefully they can do whatever was done for that other user.

This is from the Telstra website: https://www.telstra.com.au/support/category/email/set-up/recommended-email-settings-for-telstra-mail

If you head to the link HERE and scroll down to NetRange, it should have the IP range info you need!
